Acts 2:38 And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Generally, people come to the church to have their problems fixed or resolved.  But the Lord says, “You must first receive My Grace.”  It is a prerequisite for your problems to be resolved. God allows the problems in our life so that we may seek and desire of Him. By going through the trials, without even realizing what is happening, we are being restored to the first love at a new level. The Lord will pour down special grace and blessing.

It seems like a piece of cake to the people of faith who have been through their tests and tribulation. Just look at Joshua and Caleb. They shouted, “9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow [of protection] are removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not.”  (Numbers 14:9). Joshua and Caleb treated the giants in the land as though they were nothing. Some people would drown and die from strong giant ocean waves, but some people would use the strength (power) of the ocean waves (opponent) to ride on it.

What are the reasons for God allowing problems on us? Let us observe the Israelites. It took them 40 years to pass through the wilderness when it could have taken only eleven days if they were only obedient to God. But it is not always disobedience that places you in the wilderness. He will put you in the wilderness to mold you as a people of faith for God. In Matthew 5:15, it says, “15Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.”  (Matthew 5:15)

God wants our hidden sins to be exposed and He desires for us to have it resolved as we go through the difficult time. When God places us under a heat, we must accept it and be fully trained by Him in obedience. God is fair. It does not matter who the person is, God will give an opportunity to all but the condition is that we pray. As a pastor, I was disciplined by God for 16 years. My church was located the below ground level. It was in the basement. I was extremely poor and I did not have anything to offer to God.

All I could do was pray before the Lord. I had always cried out and asked the Lord, “Please! Give me some opportunities! God! If you ever give me some opportunities, I will not betray you! Lord, send me some faithful sheep. Send me those who will work with me with all of their lives! I promise to live my life only for you, Lord!” Presently,  God has granted my prayer, Hallelujah!

As we persistently continue in prayer, we will receive spiritual insight and we will be able to seize the golden opportunity. We will most definitely see it.  As we persistently pray, if one could see the spiritual realm, one would see God’s power and abundant blessings increase in size as it approaches and gets closer to us as the days pass. Do not be content when one of your prayers get answered, you must continue in prayer so that the harvest will be a larger fruit.

Within your answered prayer, there is another answered prayer and within that answered prayer, there are other opportunities that will be revealed. By prayer, we will be connected to various people, incidents or events. When your prayers get answered, you must not relax but rather, you must continuously push harder without ceasing. Ever since I was in my youth, praying has become my habit.  I am used to praying whether it is snowing or raining.

Ever since the church I had formerly attended could not handle my literally crying out in prayer, I had to climb up to the mountain top every night just to pray and loudly cry out.  As I enticed my son Joseph and Joo Eun to read the bible, they were becoming the man of God and the woman of God. Even when there was a time where they had rebelled for a short time, they had come back to the Lord quickly.

We must earnestly pray with all of our heart pouring out. If you only persistently pray, God will give you power and the passion without you realizing it. God will create special circumstances for you as well. In today’s scripture, people who were baptized by the Holy Spirit became powerful witnesses. After the power of God came upon them, they had powerfully witnessed to people. The Lord told His disciples not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for the Holy Spirit which was promised to them. God is telling us that we will become a people of the Holy Spirit after we have received the power of the Holy Spirit.

They had all betrayed prior to receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. Even Peter betrayed the Lord before he was baptized by the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit does not work in us, we will eventually go back to the same old life we had known before. But finally, the day of Pentecost arrived! The Holy Spirit came upon the people like a rushing violent tempest blast with tongues resembling Fire. (Acts 2:1-5). When the power of the Holy Spirit came upon them, they had become a people of Fire and begin stirring things up. But, do you know the characteristics of those who really possess and have received the power of the Holy Spirit?

Those who have received the power of the Holy Spirit do not expose the fault or mistakes of others but instead, they cover it with love. If you constantly pick out the fault and mistakes of others and continue to be irritated by them, it is a warning sign for YOURSELF! When this happens, you must be on your knees before God. Even though the Holy Spirit dwells in us, He will not do the things that we are required to do. God will not touch our freewill.

If you repeatedly get angry and enraged, you are opening the door to the evil spirits so that you will sin even more. The moment you get angry, evil spirit instantly enters into your body. It is an opportunity for them to enter in you. Most of the time, people will always blame the evil spirits for their sin. But it is us who are actually feeding the demons! The sin we commit is their food, we feed them by sinning!

Once the demons enter into our bodies, they will do their best to stay. Because, once we cast them out, the punishment that is waiting for them is the fire of hell. When I sent to hell to witness this event, I saw Satan punishing the evil spirits that has been cast out.  As a result, they could not fulfill whatever mission that had been given to them. I saw them being punished by being thrown into the fire of hell by Satan. When we cast them out with power and authority, the punishment is waiting for them, which is the fire of hell.

In order to cast out the evil spirits that have already entered into our bodies, we must become spiritually powerful and stronger. We must always have a pure heart and be holy in whatever we do. We must always have joy and always be thankful. We must not give excuses for our wrong doings. We must passionately love others and pray for them. If we give excuses and postpone our mission that is given to us each day, God will raise other people and replace us. There are always people in which God can replace. God always have other powerful people to replace you who will work with more sincerity. God used David, replacing King Saul.

You must cry out before God, saying, “Please give me a chance! Give me a opportunity!” When the opportunity comes, do not miss it!

It does not matter how many churches are out there. A church with the power of the Holy Spirit will experience true revival. There is a false revival. There are so many goats within the churches. You will know who the goats are. The goat behaves according to their temper and their feelings. But, even though they are a goat, as long as they attend the church there is always a chance for them to become a sheep.

In these last days, if someone receives the power of the Holy Spirit, they may call you a cult. But who is really a cult? They call us a cult just because we speak in tongue, prophecy, interpret, impart or receive the HOLY FIRE OF GOD, and we cast demons out. Many people are building the church for humanism and happiness. They build ping pong tables, volleyball courts, and work out rooms within the church. They try to run the church by using the same methods the world utilizes.

The essence of the church is in the power of the Holy Spirit. The real church overcomes the power of hell, the gates of hell! Why would they want to make a church into a health club? Why would someone like to build a church deep in the mountains? The church must be built within the world. That is the real church! Nowadays, the churches are going backwards. Many pastors are not praying and therefore, those sheep who are under those pastors do not pray as well.

There are churches who are boasting about not keeping Sundays Holy and boasting about how they do not have an early Morning Prayer service. If the bible says do certain things, then that means if we do it, we will be blessed. It is the way to blessings. To some people, God’s words are nothing but a nag. If we do not have the power of the Holy Spirit within us, our Christian walk will lose strength and all of God’s commandments will appear to you as a nag.

Most of the church believes that they can obtain salvation very easily. They think they are all safe if they have memorized doctrine and been educated or have had discipleship training. This is Satan’s high deception. Satan makes Christians to believe that salvation is easily obtained and they believe they are safe until death. As a result, many Christians are off their guard.

When we are baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit, we can now fight to come out of the place where we are used to sinning. We will struggle to be changed. When we are full of the power of the Holy Spirit, we can hold church service daily. We are able to give out and distribute to people according to their need and will gather together to break the bread daily. The atmosphere of the church will feel like a party. This is the look of the early church. When we constantly pray and press forward and in, we will have a taste of it and we will have a joy in prayer. We must know the taste of prayer.

The devil gets afraid when Christians pray. We are living in the days of receiving our prayers answerd and we are living in the days of power of the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, there are too many people who have not received the power of the Holy Spirit.  When we read the book of Revelation, the day is coming for the two witnesses. (Revelation 11:1-13).  The two witnesses also represent the last day servants who will do the supernatural work of God. They will not only be pastors or leaders but they will be lay believers, elders, among the women and among the little children and the supernatural work of God will manifest.



If the very last day comes in our generation, I hope everyone in our church will possess the power of the two witnesses.



As the last day approaches, even the law of nature goes backward. And when you go to certain areas in Africa, we can witness a shaman sleeping on top of sharp bamboo sticks. This shaman becomes a subject to be worshipped. This generation is in spiritual darkness and they are spiritually/physically corrupting. This generation is running extreme. While the churches of the present age are so concerned about denominations and doctrine, Satan comes in and gives authority to his people.

God is looking for the people who can bring down the Fire from heaven. We will receive all the power from the Lord, if we earnestly ask.The churches who do not pray persecute the churches who do pray all day and night. Depending on the measure of a person’s prayer and depending on a person’s power of prayer, their faith manifests variously.

Those who do not have a good credibility before the Lord, God will barely manifest or work on behalf of that person. You are never too late. Pray that God will give you an opportunity to prove your faith before Him today. God looks at us as an arrowhead and therefore polishes us. Isaiah 49:2 “2And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand has He hid me and made me a polished arrow; in His quiver has He kept me close and concealed me.”

After all, He will throw us into the fire of discipline and will polish us. When all the process is completed, He will pierce the target. Please pray, and do it persistently. After you overcome all the discipline and tests, you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit. God will fully equip you. When that day comes, God will no longer place a lamp under the table but He will lift you up high so that whole world can see you as you shine for HIM.
