How can unbelievers know we are christians if we don't show Jesus' love..when someone meets you for the first time, do they know you are a christian by your love..?
Do you hurt other christians with your words and actions? How do they know we are God's children..let's look at Jesus's word..below. Matthew 25:35-40 35.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36.I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' 37."Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38.When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39.When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 40."The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Verse 40 amazes me, when we do for others in need, this includes prayer,fellowship,and lots more..we are to stand up and show Jesus' love..we sit back and watch others go hungry, go without shelter, and so forth, while we have all we need..i don't mean to be rude but Jesus said if we have done for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me..Do you think Jesus would be so very rude to someone who is hurting, from pain or depression or hurting from hunger or worried about shelter..yes he provides all our needs but he gave us a mission, to carry on his work....are we are doing his work or just doing what we want, are we out showing his love or being angry because our brothers and sisters are in need and we have plenty so it doesn't bother us ..let's show unbelievers also we are christians by our love..
.Another friend wrote me and told me how bad her church is treating her, i have had my church turn me away when I needed shelter or food so do the people of this world know we are the body of Christ, not if our actions don't show it..faith is action..let's walk this walk together.
