Labor in Vain

Have you ever felt like your labor for the Lord has been in vain (useless or having no effect)?
You have went to those the Lord has sent you to, you have prayed for
many things, many people yet you see no results. Like King Solomon, you
feel like him when he penned these words "Vanity of vanities, saith the
Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity" (Eccl 1 v 2).
Yet you continue to labor on for the Lord; maybe the place you are
called to labor is hidden from others' eyes yet you know the Lord has
called you there. Day after day, week after week, month after month,
year after year, you labor and see few, if any results. Although you
may become discouraged, the Lord gives you strength and grace to keep
on going. You certainly would like to see some feedback, some results
of your work for him, yet none is forthcoming.
Cheer up because the Lord says, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye
stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1
Corinthians 15 v 58). He goes on to say in Hebrews 6 v 10 "For God is
not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have
shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and
do minister".
My prayer is that the Lord would give each of you an abundant harvest for your labors for him.
